After a lot of FTP hassles, I managed to get the site online (without using FTP -- I did it the old-fashioned way, file by file). Regardless, it's there, and I've taken time to debug it, so it should be working pretty well at this point. Feel free to check it out, and let me know what you think!

Yippee! Now I can get back to my novel!
PS: Thanks, Susan, for encouraging me to take on this long-awaited project after completing my second draft of THE REFLECTING STONE. Glad I got it done. It's a start, with room to grow.

Note:
I upgraded the info page for the Parallel Writing Project, making it more presentable. You can access it through my main site:

I linked to you. Good Luck with everything.
Thanks, Romance Writer!
By the way, I'll be adding more info on the actual writing challenges to the Parallel Writing Project in the next day or two.
I'm envisioning a hypothetical novel, for which the participants would write specific scenes at key points along the way, to see how we can use style, character development, continuity, theme, setting, description, etc., to create the story we want to tell (each writer's interpretation of the common facts would be unique).
Hello Adrian...
Congratulations on the launch of your new site!!
I've browsed through your site a couple of times over the course of the weekend and I really like it. It's got a nice, clean layout and everything is easy to find.
The last day of school was Friday, so I'm on summer holiday's schedule which in our house means no schedule and lots of impromtu outings... but sometime in the next couple of days I will get a blog post together linking to your new site and the writing project to help you get the word out.
I'm sure you'll be able to go back to your novel with renewed enthusiasm and a fresh outlook
Hi, Susan!
Thanks for your comments! I'm glad you found the site easy to navigate. It's so retro-90's frames/HTML, which is all I know about creating web sites, but at least it's done and up and running and it serves as a starting point. Eventually I'll revamp it and give it a whole new look, just to keep things interesting, but for now I'm happy just to have it done finally and online!
It feels nice to have a place on the web for my projects and a better place to share my Tips & Tricks articles -- the format of a blog, at least the way my current Blogger blog is configured, is not the best. A web site allows much more flexibility in presentation.
Congratulations on arriving at the summer holiday schedule! Sounds like a lot of fun!
UPDATE ON THE
PARALLEL WRITING PROJECT:
I added new content to the PWP Site. You will find a new link in the menu called "About the Challenges".
When you click this link, a new menu opens with more details about the challenges. This provides a better sense of the reality and the potential here -- this is really a very cool idea!
Check it out!
